Free Printable Thanksgiving Menu + Friendsgiving Sign-Up Sheet (5 Designs)

A printed menu makes Thanksgiving dinner feel like an occasion, and a sign-up sheet saves Friendsgiving from ending up with six bowls of mashed potatoes and no pie. This free printable set gives you both: a Thanksgiving menu, a Friendsgiving menu and a “who’s bringing what” potluck sheet.

Thanksgiving 2026 is on Thursday, November 26. Pick one of five aesthetic designs, write in your dishes by hand and set the menu on the table, the bar cart or the fridge.

Page 3: Who’s Bringing What

The 5 Designs

  • Autumn Harvest: terracotta, mustard and a little sprig of fall leaves
  • Cozy Cottage: soft sage, warm cream and a green sprig with berries
  • Pink Coquette: blush pink, a bow and pretty italic lettering for a pink Friendsgiving
  • Old Money: deep green, antique gold and an elegant double frame for a candlelit dinner
  • Scandi Minimalist: clean lines, lots of white space and a simple wooden star

How to Plan a Friendsgiving

  1. Three weeks before: pick a date and a host, and send the sign-up sheet to the group chat as a photo.
  2. Two weeks before: the host claims the main dish (turkey, a roast chicken or a big vegetarian main) and everyone signs up for a side, a dessert or drinks.
  3. One week before: check the sheet for gaps. Most groups forget ice, bread and something green.
  4. The day before: write the menu, set out serving dishes with sticky notes for each dish, and chill the drinks.
  5. On the day: put the menu on the table, and ask everyone to bring containers so leftovers go home with them.

How Much Food to Cook Per Person

Running out of food is stressful, and so is a fridge full of leftovers nobody wants. These are common rules of thumb for a dinner where everyone has a bit of everything. Plan on the higher end if you want leftovers, or if your guests are big eaters.

DishPer personFor 10 people
Whole turkey (bone-in)1 to 1½ lb10 to 15 lb bird
Mashed potatoes½ lb raw potatoes5 lb potatoes
Stuffingabout Âľ cupabout 7 to 8 cups
Gravyabout ⅓ cupabout 3½ cups
Cranberry sauce2 to 3 tablespoonsabout 2 cups
Green vegetable side4 oz (about ½ cup cooked)2½ lb green beans
Dinner rolls1 to 212 to 16 rolls
Pie1 slice of each kind you want to try2 to 3 pies (8 slices each)

For a potluck-style Friendsgiving, divide the list between guests: the host makes the turkey and gravy, and the sign-up sheet in the printable covers the rest. With many dishes on the table, people take smaller portions of each, so the amounts above go a long way.

A Simple Thanksgiving Day Timeline

This timeline works for a turkey of about 12 to 14 pounds (roasted at 325°F, which takes roughly 3 to 3¾ hours) and dinner at 4 PM. Move everything earlier or later to match your dinner time, and always check that the turkey reaches 165°F in the thickest part of the breast and thigh before you carve.

  • The weekend before: buy a frozen turkey now and start thawing it in the refrigerator, allowing about 24 hours for every 4 to 5 pounds. Make the cranberry sauce, which keeps well for several days.
  • Two days before: chop vegetables, toast bread cubes for stuffing and finalize your menu card.
  • The day before: bake the pies, assemble casseroles (cover and refrigerate), set the table, and text everyone the arrival time and what they are bringing (a photo of the sign-up sheet works well).
  • 11:30 AM: turkey into the oven.
  • 1:00 PM: check the turkey temperature, light the candles you plan to use, and chill drinks.
  • 2:30 PM: casseroles out of the fridge so they are not ice cold when they go in the oven.
  • 3:00 PM: turkey out, covered loosely with foil to rest for 30 minutes. Turn the oven up and put the casseroles and rolls in. Make the gravy from the pan drippings.
  • 3:30 PM: boil and mash the potatoes, and put the menu on the table.
  • 4:00 PM: carve the turkey, serve and sit down.

Make-Ahead Dishes That Save You on the Day

  • Cranberry sauce: made up to a week ahead and kept in the fridge
  • Pies and crusts: baked the day before (pumpkin pie tastes better after a night in the fridge)
  • Stuffing and casseroles: assembled a day ahead, baked just before dinner
  • Mashed potatoes: made in the morning and kept warm in a slow cooker on low
  • Salad dressing and chopped vegetables: prepared two days ahead, so only the final toss is left

Printing Tips

  • Pick your paper size. Choose US Letter if you live in the US or Canada, and A4 almost everywhere else.
  • Print with “Fit” or “Scale to fit” turned on, so nothing gets cut off at the edges.
  • Print only the page you want. The PDF has 15 pages (three per design); type the page number into your print settings.
  • Use thicker paper (65–80 lb cardstock or 120 gsm) if you want it to last all season on the fridge or a bulletin board.
  • No printer? Save the PDF to your phone and take it to any print shop or library.
